With the 2016 Beijing International Film Festival just days away, moviegoers in China appear to have many viewing options-from the classics to new foreign films. About 90 percent of the 500 films to be shown at the festival have yet to be released on the Chinese mainland, media reported. Here's a closer look at some key titles.

A Tale of Love and Darkness
As Hollywood actress Natalie Portman's directorial debut, the biopic chronicles the childhood and youth of Amos Oz, one of Israel's most famous writers. Portman, who is known to Chinese fans for the psychological thriller Black Swan, will talk to audiences at the festival around April 17, when the film is shown.
