Soil thieves damage trees
Authorities in Dalian have pledged a crackdown on soil thieves after several trees were damaged on a mountain in the city's Zhongshan district. The thieves dug soil out from around the trees and sold it for 20 yuan ($3) per 12 kg bag to grave-sweepers, who bought it to reinforce tombs.
