Art: Record price for famous water town painting
On Monday, master artist Wu Guanzhong's portrayal of Zhouzhuang, the famous water town in Jiangsu province, fetched a record price of HK$236 million ($30.4 million) at Poly Auction's spring sale. The oil painting is done mainly in black, gray and white. There is an arch bridge in the foreground and the traditional houses of China's southern area are highlighted through the background.
