Deschamps has high praise for Kante

France coach Didier Deschamps was delighted with N'Golo Kante's performance in his first international start, a 4-2 friendly win over Russia on Tuesday.

The Leicester City forward has been one of the stars of the season in England and needed just eight minutes in his first start for his country to score the opening goal in an impressive French victory.

That followed his debut appearance as a substitute in last Friday's 3-2 win over the Netherlands and leaves the former Caen player, who celebrated his 25th birthday on Tuesday, looking a certainty to make the France squad for Euro 2016.
