President feted at 'teary' inauguration

Aung San Suu Kyi assigned to head foreign and three other ministries

Members of Aung San Suu Kyi's victorious National League for Democracy were in tears on Wednesday as Myanmar swore in its first president with no military ties in more than half a century.

U Htin Kyaw, a close friend and confidant of Suu Kyi, was elected to run Myanmar's government because the Constitution bars Suu Kyi from the top office.
