Officials handed graft penalties
Ji Wenlin, the former vice-governor of Hainan province, was sentenced to 12 years in prison for corruption on Wednesday by the Tianjin No 1 Intermediate People's Court. Meanwhile, Zhang Lifu, another former senior official from the province, was expelled from the Communist Party of China following an internal investigation, according to the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection on Wednesday. Zhang was a former deputy head of the Standing Committee of the Hainan Provincial People's Congress.
