Culture: Major art fair rolls out in Hong Kong
On Thursday, the Art Basel Hong Kong show, touted as a major event in the art world, opened at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center. Paintings, sculptures, installations, photographs, videos and prints from 239 art galleries in 35 countries and regions will be displayed up till tomorrow. Art Basel, one of world's top art fairs, was initiated in the Swiss city in 1970 and concentrates on contemporary art. The fair first arrived in Hong Kong in 2013.
