Success in proficiency competition opens up 'new world'

By Zhao Xinying | China Daily | Updated: 2016-03-19 08:08

Wu Minsu, a professor at Communication University of China in Beijing, said the "21st Century Cup" National English Speaking Competition has changed her fate - and that of her students.

Her karmic connection to the contest began in 2003, when she first trained students to take part.

"I have been brought into a new world since then," said Wu, who is now deputy dean of the Faculty of Journalism and Communication, adding that she coaches students for the contest annually, and each year her students win awards.
