A shortage of talented people who are specialized in the repair and restoration of cultural relics poses a challenge for the preservation of our cultural heritage. China has more than 2 million cultural relics that are in need of repair but there are only around 400 people working in the field, which has not yet established a professional title evaluation system. The human resources and social security authorities should grant professional titles to them and increase their income to prevent a brain drain.

Why nowadays are most TV series costume dramas and period dramas? Because it's too difficult to put a drama that reflects reality onto the screen. I created a TV drama, One Family from Wenzhou, which tells the story of how a family from Zhejiang province made a living by doing business across the country in the 1980s and finally expanded their business to Europe. When I proposed the drama to the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television, they asked me to consult and get approval from six ministries, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Energy Administration.
