Senior legislator suspected of discipline breaches

A senior legislative official has been placed under investigation on suspicion of corruption, the country's top anti-graft authority announced on Friday ahead of the annual meeting of the 12th National People's Congress.
Wang Min, 66, vice-chairman of the Education, Science, Culture and Public Health Committee of the 12th National People's Congress, was alleged to have "seriously violated Party discipline" - a phrase commonly used in reference to corruption - the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection said.
No details of the allegation were available as of press time.
