No place like home for R&F

Guangzhou R&F is squarely focused on building a young, local squad and a vibrant fan base, according to a senior club manager.

General manager Zhang Bin said the club will recruit more Guangdong-born players to boost the team's strength and local appeal in the coming years.

"As a Guangdong-based club, a longtime testing ground for Chinese soccer reform, we need more local players to increase our strength and facilitate greater ties with local fans," said Zhang.
