Culture: Amazing flour art
Last week, a festival showcasing artwork made with flour in Hebi, Henan province, exhibited more than 300 creations from Shaanxi, Shanxi, Anhui and Henan provinces. The ages of the artists behind the exhibits range from 8 to 66 years old. The edible flour artwork is a Chinese tradition dating back to the Han Dynasty (206 BC-AD 220). During important occasions, people always look to the artwork to wish for happiness and good fortune.
