Development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region faces soil subsidence, groundwater shortage

China will finish thorough geological surveys in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region by 2020, in a bid to promote coordinated regional growth.

Zhong Ziran, head of China Geological Survey, a branch of the Ministry of Land and Resources, said on Friday that integrated development needs comprehensive geological information to plan and facilitate construction.
