Scientists isolate Zika virus strains

Scientists have isolated two Zika virus strains, which will assist in understanding the transmission pattern of the virus and potentially help lead to a vaccine. The two strains were isolated from the blood and urine of two patients. It was the first successful isolation from such a urine sample, according to the Academy of Military Medical Sciences and Guangzhou No 8 People's Hospital.
