Capital will connect parks and green spaces, allowing airflow to help reduce city's pollution
Beijing plans to build ventilation corridors across the city to ease air pollution by bridging parks and conservation areas into greenbelts, a local official said on Friday.
Preparatory research has been finished and the city will build five large corridors more than 500 meters in width, and more than 10 corridors 80 meters wide, Wang Fei, deputy director of the Beijing Municipal Commission of Urban Planning, said at a news conference on Friday.
