ARATS donates to Taiwan victims

The mainland's Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Straits donated 5 million yuan ($765,800) to help victims and their families affected by the 6.7-magnitude quake that killed 116 people in Taiwan on Feb 6. The relief funds, which came from religious groups, enterprises, local governments and public donors, were first forwarded to Taiwan's Straits Exchange Foundation, which then channeled the funds to the island's Red Cross Society on Sunday, according to ARATS.
