Customs-free routes between China, Russia

Customs-free truck routes between China and Russia through Kazakhstan went into effect on Tuesday. Yleham Abulet, director of the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous regional road transportation administrative bureau, said that prior to the new clearance, goods transported from Xinjiang to Russia were required to pass through Kazakhstan due to the lack of road infrastructure on the China-Russia border.
