A stretch run packed with playoff intrigue

The All-Star Game is over, a few more days off await before play resumes and what is commonly called the second half of the NBA season begins.
In actuality, the second half has been underway for a while.
Most teams have about 30 games left on the 82-game schedule - so it is crunch time. And given the way the races are shaping up it's not too soon to start scoreboard-watching.
