Most of the domestic public toilets are dirty and far from enough, especially for women and children. The most ridiculous thing I encountered is some public toilets that are locked up at night or during nonwork hours. What's the point of building the toilets if the public can't use them whenever they need to? I think more public toilets should be built, and they should be as clean as the ones at home.

Guo Ziyang, male, 28, a travel agency employee in Tianjin

The focus should not only be put on increasing the number of toilets but improving the overall environment of the toilets. Fresh air and clean facilities are the most important. If tissue, hand sanitizer and dryers could always be available, it would be perfect.
