Investors felt 'betrayed' by Neymar transfer

By Agence France-Presse in Madrid | China Daily | Updated: 2016-02-06 08:23

Brazilian investment group DIS, which owned 40 percent of Barcelona star Neymar's sporting rights before his move to the Catalan giant from Santos in 2013, claimed on Thursday it felt "betrayed" after being shut out of the transfer negotiations.

Neymar, his father, Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu and former club president Sandro Rosell were all called to testify by Spain's highest court this week over a complaint for fraud and corruption brought by DIS.

"I feel morally and economically betrayed," DIS owner Delcir Sonda told a news conference in Madrid.
