Children warm to intensive wintry workout

Chinese children are often portrayed as spoiled brats raised by overprotective parents, but some of the mare trying to rectify this image, although in a controversial way.

Fourteen children, aiming to build their strength, braved the freezing winter by going topless on Monday in a military-style workout session.

Sporting camouflage pants as their uniform, the children were asked to rub their bodies with snow during the intensive, nine-minute training session, which followed an hourlong warmup.
