Pastor probed in embezzlement case

Gu Yuese, one of China's leading Christian pastors, is suspected of embezzling funds, and is being investigated, church authorities in Zhejiang province said. "We feel deeply shocked and filled with regret," the Hangzhou Christian Council said in a statement on its website on Friday night. The council cited Gu's individual conduct, but the Web post provided no other details of the probe.
