Communist party chief reelected

Nguyen Phu Trong has been reelected as the General Secretary of the newly-elected 12th Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee in its first plenary session held on Wednesday, local media reported. Vietnam's state-run news agency released a photo report over the first plenary of the 12th CPVCC, showing Trong receiving a bouquet of flowers as congratulations, and standing on the meeting hall stage together with Tran Dai Quang, Vietnamese minister of public security and member of the 12th CPVCC.
