Danny Alexander, treasury minister in Britain's previous Conservative-Liberal Democrat coalition government, will be named a vice-president of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank and will move to Beijing, the Financial Times said.
The newspaper's report cited a person familiar with the bank's operations. Alexander would not comment on the report.
Alexander, a leading Liberal Democrat, lost his parliamentary seat last year when the Conservatives swept to power in May.
