Movie: Kung Fu Panda 3 sets box-office high

Martial arts animation film Kung Fu Panda 3 set a box-office milestone in China, raking in 41.26 million yuan ($6.27 million) from more than 1.17 million moviegoers in just three hours during a nationwide sneak preview on Saturday afternoon. The movie, directed by Jennifer Yuh Nelson and Alessandro Carloni, is the third installment of the popular franchise. US animation studio DreamWorks Animation and Chinese-US group Oriental DreamWorks produced Kung Fu Panda 3, which hints at a potential blockbuster debut, especially in China, when it opens on Friday, one weekend before the Spring Festival holiday.
