Chinese student rises to fame in Iran
A Chinese woman studying in Iran became well-known across the country after recently playing a role in Iran's top TV series The Capital. The Capital, now into its fourth season, revolves around the story of a truck driver and his family from an ordinary village in northern Iran. The show has been popular since it premiered in 2012. Zhang Menghan, who speaks fluent Persian and studies at the University of Teheran, was recommended by one of her teachers in 2014 to be a crew member before shooting for the third season began.
