Item from Jan 22, 1989, in China Daily: Women try wigs sold at the Beijing Wig Shop located in Zhushikou Street, one of the busy commercial areas in the capital.
Only the second in the whole of China, the shop opened on Jan 5 in west Zhushikou Street with a total investment of 330,000 yuan.
It aims to provide wigs for people who suffer from baldness, burn patients and actors and actresses, said Hu Jianmin, the general manager.
