Ma Foundation gives $1.57m

The Jack Ma Foundation, the nonprofit organization created by Alibaba Group Holding Ltd's Chairman Jack Ma in late 2014 to help improve education, the environment and public health, has handed out annual teachers' grants worth 10 million yuan ($1.57 million) to 100 rural teachers, at an award ceremony in Sanya, Hainan.
