Shanghai to build more public toilets for women

More women's restrooms are to be built in public areas of Shanghai this year, with the ratio of women's to men's targeted at 2-to-1.

Toilets in public transportation hubs, cultural and shopping centers, commercial areas, scenic spots, parks and cinemas will be built to a revised standard.

This is according to Zhang Feng, director of the Shanghai City Appearance and Environmental Quality Monitoring Center.
