Individual units to be removed when central heat system installed

Hebei province will promote central heating in rural areas as the province with some of the worst air quality in China moves to significantly reduce the use of coal.

Households with access to central heating will not be allowed to have individual coal-fired heating units, according to a new regulation on the prevention and control of environmental pollution that was approved on Wednesday.
