China is seeking a new national soccer coach after manager Alain Perrin was sacked for the squad's disappointing Asian qualifying campaign for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
The Chinese Football Association said on its website over the weekend that it has launched the process to find a replacement for the Frenchman, who was dismissed on Friday.
A statement issued by the association said, "For the concern of the team's long-term development needs and expectations of its future results, we've reached an agreement with Perrin to terminate the contract with him" and to select a new coach.
