Former steel chief expelled from CPC
Deng Qilin, 64, former president of major Chinese steel-maker Wuhan Iron and Steel (Group) Corp, has been expelled from the Communist Party of China for offenses including graft, hindering investigations and "practicing superstitious activities", according to the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection on Friday. Deng's illegal gains will be confiscated and his case be handed over to prosecutors, it said.
