Man rewarded for attempted rescue

A man who was injured while trying to catch a woman falling from the 11th floor of a building has been rewarded for his bravery. Feng Ning, a retired military man and college student, reached out to save the falling woman on the night of Dec 23 in Enshi. The woman died and Feng suffered injuries to his arms and legs. Feng was rewarded for his rescue attempt with 50,000 yuan ($7,632) from the army and more than 100,000 yuan in donations from others.
