UK foreign secretary to visit China
At the invitation of Foreign Minister Wang Yi, UK Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond is set to pay an official visit to China today and tomorrow. During President Xi Jinping's state visit to the UK last year, both countries declared that they would build a "global comprehensive strategic partnership for the 21st century", opening a "golden age" of bilateral relations.
