Manning dismisses report of HGH use as 'pure garbage'

Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning strongly denied a report set to air on Al Jazeera television that he received human growth hormone through his wife during his recovery from neck fusion surgeries while playing for the Indianapolis Colts in 2011.

"The allegation that I would do something like that is pure garbage and is totally made up. It never happened," Manning said on Saturday night.

"I really can't believe somebody would put something like this on the air. Whoever said this is making stuff up."
