Senior told to prove granddad's death

A 69-year-old man in Jinan was not able to get a house ownership certificate because he could not prove his grandfather was dead. After his parents passed away in 1988, the man wanted to transfer the ownership of their house to himself. But the public notary office asked him to prove that both his grandfather and father were dead. It was easy for him to prove his father's death, but it was impossible for him to find people to prove his grandfather had died in 1912 when his father was only 1 year old.
