Relieved delegates can hold heads high

"I'll see you in Beijing," Xie Zhenhua, China's special climate representative told his US counterpart, Todd Stern, and Singaporean Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan after the Paris climate talks closed on Saturday.

"We're negotiating with each other, but at the same time we're good friends," Xie said while his colleague took photos of the group against a backdrop of the COP 21 logo.

"Yes, for over seven years," added Stern with a cheerful smile, a rare sight at the negotiating table or in the media briefings during the course of the talks.
