The China Institute of City Competitiveness, a nongovernment research organization in Hong Kong, has recently released its annual report ranking Chinese cities on their overall competitiveness.
A total of 358 Chinese cities at prefecture level and above were studied during the past year.
The rankings are based on four systems: economic performance, society, environment and culture.
