Former officials under scrutiny

Four former officials from Shanxi province are being investigated on suspicion of accepting bribes, according to a statement released by the Supreme People's Procuratorate on Wednesday. They include Liu Xiangdong, a former member of the provincial committee of the Communist Party of China and head of the committee's discipline inspection group, and Yin Xiping, former Party chief. The other two suspects are Liu Suiji, former director of Taiyuan city's public security bureau, and Tian Zhiming, former Party chief of Xiangyuan county.
