Audi Q7

The Audi Q7, the world's first fourth-generation SUV model, hit the market on Dec 3, featuring state-of-the-art technology and excellence in dynamics, reduced weight, and leading supplementary driving systems.

Ge Shuwen, executive deputy general manager of FAW-Volkswagen Audi sales division, said: "The all-new Audi Q7 is redefining the SUVs of this age, as it make the ends of off-road capability and comfort meet. It will bring a completely new experience to users and enable them to switch freely between urban and country areas."

The 5,069-mm-long, 1,716-mm-tall SUV has a ground clearance of 245 mm and a wheelbase as long as 3 meters. The five-seat variant carries as much as 890 liters in the trunk, and 295 liters in the seven seater. When the seats are laid flat, the trunk is expanded to a surprising 2,075 liters.

The all-new Q7, boasting ideal sportiness and comfort, features a futuristic 12.3-inch LCD virtual cockpit for the driver and a touchpad control with Multi-Media Interface to entertain passengers.

The model, equipped with a standard quattro four-wheel drive system, which is both powerful and intelligent, offers drivers a more precise and stable driving experience than its previous versions. The lighter body, which weighs 325 kg less, makes the SUV easier to control while also consuming less energy.

The new model offers a robust lineup of available driver assistance technologies, including pedestrian detection, collision avoidance and a traffic jam assist feature. The driving supplementary system helps the model rank top in the segment in terms of safety.

The 3.0 TFSI engine model has a peak power of up to 245 kW and can accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in only 6.2 seconds. Its average fuel consumption is 9.1 liters per 100 km.

The 2.0 TFSI engine model could accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in 7.1 seconds and its average fuel consumption was only 8.5 liters per 100 km.

The all-new Q7s sell from 753,800 yuan to 1.09 million yuan ($117,885 - $170,470).
