The beautiful depths

China Daily | Updated: 2015-12-05 08:01
An underwater photography exhibition, titled Inner Space, recently drew a good amount of public attention especially from those who haven't had the opportunity to view an ocean from within. Visitors are required to dress in diving suits for the underwater show, and experience the surreal feeling of body suspension while the water rises. Photographers have found and recorded the secrets of the ocean, whether it is an enormous school of sardines swimming around, the great whales moving slowly or Disney's Nemo hidden underneath a sea anemone. There are all kinds of marine life, some of them even rare sightings. It is the underwater version of Avatar's Pandora, where unsaddled imagination takes flight - swaying forests at night - to create a magical effect. David Doubilet, a photographer of the National Geography magazine says: "What I like best about underwater photography is giving a visual voice to the invisible."
