Former Yunnan official jailed
Shen Peiping, 53, former vice-governor of Yunnan province, was sentenced to 12 years in prison for accepting bribes worth around 16 million yuan ($2.5 million), a Beijing court announced on Thursday. Shen's real estate assets were seized. A further 2 million yuan of personal assets will be confiscated, Beijing No 1 Intermediate People's Court ruled.
