Drugs, alcohol biggest fears for young

Drugs and alcohol were identified as young Australians' leading cause for concern in the nation's biggest annual survey of its adolescents.

The survey, carried out by Christian charity organization Mission Australia, asked 19,000 people aged 15 to 19 what they thought were the biggest issues confronting the nation.

Nearly 27 percent of them cited alcohol and drugs as the No 1 problem.
