French players fight to remain focused

By Associated Press In Toronto | China Daily | Updated: 2015-11-16 08:18

New Orleans Pelicans center Alexis Ajinca admitted he had a difficult time focusing on basketball on Friday night.

The French national was worried about the safety of his family in Paris after a series of deadly terrorist attacks that left more than 125 people dead.

Anjinca didn't get confirmation his relatives were safe until after New Orleans' 100-81 loss at Toronto. He was especially concerned for a cousin who was attending a soccer match rocked by suicide bombers.
