Myanmar parliament set to resume

Myanmar's parliament is set to resume today after the Nov 8 election, during which the opposition party led by Aung San Suu Kyi won the right to form a new government independently after securing enough seats in the two-House parliament. Since its first parliamentary session in 2011, Myanmar's parliament has passed 185 bills, including 52 bills in the 83-day 12th session that ended in mid-August.
