Seagate backs panda center

Seagate Technology Corp, the global leader in data storage solutions, announced cooperation with the World Wildlife Fund to initiate a monitoring project for a panda breeding center in China's mountainous west, in Heihe National Forest Park, Shaanxi province. Seagate designed a high-capacity, high-reliability surveillance program to monitor, analyze and manage human activities. Nearly 100 infrared cameras will be installed in the project area to monitor human disturbance and damage, and restore normalcy to the habitat. The project is one of the outcomes of Seagate and the WWF long-term cooperation, aiming to raise public awareness of protecting wildlife and natural ecosystem.
