Three policemen killed in car attack

Three Turkish policemen were killed after Kurdish insurgents opened fire on a police car in the southeast near the border with Iraq, officials said, the latest in a string of clashes in the mainly Kurdish region. The southeast has been rocked by a spate of clashes with insurgents that has left hundreds dead since a 2-year-old cease-fire between the Turkish state and Kurdistan Workers' Party militants broke down in July.
