A high-profile case of a company that accused media outlets of damaging its reputation has ended in a media victory.

Communication experts said the outcome will inspire more investigative reporting in China.

Beijing No 3 Intermediate People's Court on Monday rejected the World Luxury Association's claims that several news outlets, including Beijing News and Southern Weekly, seriously damaged its business reputation by publishing "untrue reports".
