A special exhibition about a World War II POW camp in northeastern China was unveiled in Liverpool's iconic St George's Hall on Friday.

Running from Nov 7 to 15, the moving photographic exhibition named "Forgotten Camp - Exhibition on Shenyang World War II Allied Prisoners Camp", highlights the Shenyang World War II Allied Prisoners Camp, also known as Mukden POW Camp, which was established by Japan in the Asia-Pacific.

Among its 2,000 prisoners from the US, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, the Netherlands, France and many other countries were some of the highest ranking POWs at the time.
