Despite weak demand, trade to grow in 2016
China's combined exports and imports are expected to post steady growth in 2016, as government policy measures to support the trade sector gain traction, the Ministry of Commerce said on Thursday. The value of China's services trade is expected to grow more than 10 percent in 2016, the ministry said in a report, adding that it expected global demand to remain weak. The value of exports this year was likely to be similar to the 2014 level, while imports may fall sharply, it said.
